  • @VWRabbitdiesel A wire can be used in place of the burned trace on the board. The MOSFET transistor must be replaced with the Identical part. Look up the number on the MOSFET on the internet to find a replacement. With any luck this is all that would be wrong. Be sure the wire size is big enough to replace the trace on the board due to amperage.

  • @ESRepair I just looked closer at mine and it has a burened trace and a bad mosfet.

  • @VWRabbitdiesel Well, it could be a number of things. Some power inverters incorporate a DIODE that protects against such incidents. The transistors will fail in reversed polarity, copper strips on the board will burn like a fuse, and the PWM circuits used in Power Inverters will fail under these conditions. Its possible the damage is extensive and would be cheaper to by a new one. Be sure to connect with correct polarity and wire size on the new inverter.

  • Nice video, would you have an ide what would be wrong with a inverter that I hooked up bacwards and blew the fuse. I replaced the fuse but still does not work?

    Thanks, VW
