Sorry, I know that you made this comment a month ago, but your statement was just so wrong that I get a strong urge to disagree. Psychology and hypnosis are not COMPLETELY different fields. If you look up the definitions of hypnosis and psychology, you could clearly see that they're closely related. I would say that hypnosis (if it exists) would be a branch of psychology. And I know this on a personal level; we covered hypnosis in my psych course in college.
