@20somethingstories That's pretty interesting. You're the case I was looking for. :) So, you're saying it changes a perspective. Yeah, education and knowledge sometimes ruin the magic. That's why I like listening to jazz. I don't know a thing about it, and just surrender myself to it. :)
@LPmarkac I've been an avid listener of many styles of music since I was a small child but didn't learn to play an instrument until age sixteen. (I taught myself piano.) I must say, it changes things but even though knowing more does take some of the mystery out of listening, it is opens up a lot of other channels of thought and the experience can be every bit, if not more intense.
@LPmarkac Haha, I have wondered the same thing myself! It seems simply too difficult to appreciate some things when you are not personally involved or invested in it. :)
@RoseBleueDuRosierSec I might disappoint you, but original version is for piano. Mussorgsky wrote "Pictures" on piano. Then, 50 years later, compositor Maurice Ravel rearranged it in orchestral version. :)

Me conmueve más así, en piano solo. Como fue compuesta originalmente. Gracias por compartirla.

@RoseBleueDuRosierSec You can enjoy music in your ways. I always wondered is it hard to listen to music when you don't play an instrument. :)

@LPmarkac No, but I took some music history classes in my highschool. I wish I could play an instrument, but I can not.

I prefer the original (bassoon and orchestra) one, but this one is beautiful too.
