I think people don't want to talk about it because nobody wants to say anything bad about Freese (because Freese is the man).
There were doubts about Rubin, but he certainly brings a different feel to the shows. It's an intangible thing.
Either way, it's amazing how they're able to find these great drummers who mesh so well.

They all have fit nicely from Vrenna on (Carapetis doesn't count), but come on...Josh 'FUCKING' Freese is pretty tough to beat.

He sounds better because he's had a break. It's a less intense tour, and less stressful since not everything has to perfectly sync up with the LITS visuals.
