SWELL grabbed a gropro and a wavejet surfboard on the North Shore of Oahu during the winter of 2011. The tranquil Kawela bay offered some fun waves that would have been otherwise unsurfable.
North Shore Lifeguards also tried to boards, and are considering the technology for their staff to maximize their ability to save lives in dangerous surf.
Wavejet sponsored to Triple Crown of Surfing to unveil their new personal water propulsion system. Wavejet Global ambassadors like big wave world record holder, Garret MacNamera, and Cory Lopez also tested these boards from Waikiki to Sunset Beach.
