On 6 November 2008 eight young people took over UNICEF UK for the day, inputting their ideas and opinions into some of UNICEF's biggest projects.

The young people all spent the day feeding into how UNICEF UK is run, including advising the People & Development department on how to involve young people in training and inductions, drawing up a media strategy for promoting the future redesigned Youth Voice website, and working on how the Junior 8 competition can be improved for next year.

Take a look at this video and see how they got on.

11 Million Takeover Day is an annual event, thought up by the Children's Commission. The aim is for all 11 million children in the UK to take over from adults and run the country for a day.
