composers don't just pluck a piece of music out of thin air. howard shore made this soundtrack as beautiful as it is because of the inspiration. one could in fact argue that tolkien wrote this music too as it was his books that howard shore had at his side as he composed all of this. he let tolkien's imagination flow through him to be reborn as music. if howard shore is only hired for crummy movies then how can it be as beautiful as this? inspiration is incredibly important in all forms of art.

quality, not quantity.

inb4 any more "hans zimmer": IMHO, Howard Shore is a genius.

Why are people on about Hans Zimmer? I agree he has done a lot more stuff that is excellent. But is it a competition? This, and the whole Lord of the Rings Soundtrack is Stunning...

@pwnismaximus Although in my eyes, Lord of the Rings was the best film soundtrack ever made, Zimmer has made many more great pieces than Shore has.
-
@adrieldantas I agree. One could spend an eternity listening to this song.

A fantastic piece of music

@Eedwards92 Then let us be rid of it... once and for all! I can't carry it for you... but I can carry you!
-
@dk410 Hans Zimmer. That is all.

@Eedwards92 To the one person that disliked this... what is wrong with you?
I have not heard a soundtrack that surpasses Lord of the Rings! Howard Shore has a gift!
