Join me and my sidekick as we go to our second and final errand of the day! Ukay-ukay! I need a DRESS for my SON! He has a play coming and he's playing Loki in Mikal Ram's The Theft Of Thor's Hammer.
UKAY-UKAY:
A store where they sell second hand stuff, mostly clothes. And if lucky, they have overruns from familiar and popular brands. Not that it matters. What's fun at ukay-ukay is that they have some "treasures" -- unique finds! It takes patience and yes, practice :)
Ukay -- from the word HUKAY means to unearth or dig. Because originally, the clothes from ukay-ukay are in boxes so people will have to "dig through" just to find what they want. Also known as WAGWAGAN - to dust off.
