This idea had been in the back of my head for a while. Unlike most of my other videos, this was not completed all in one go, but I decided to finish it before I went off to Pennsylvania for vacation tomorrow. Anyway, a couple of years ago, I played Jack's mother in the musical "Into the Woods." It is a great but somewhat underrated show that integrates several classic fairytales composed by the great Stephen Sondheim, which is why I thought of Princess Tutu and its theme of how a story should go. I'm not going to give away what is going on because if you haven't seen it, you would probaby be really shaken to see what happened to your favorite characters after their "happily ever after." What I will say is that Rue, in the part of Cinderella, and Fakir, in the part of the baker, are comforting Mytho, in the part of Jack, and Ahiru, in the part of Little Red Riding Hood. I do reccommend getting the DVD with Bernadette Peters to familiarize yourself with the show if you haven't already. That's how I did it. The song is "No One Is Alone." Enjoy!

  • A very nice video. The editing was appropriate, and It's always nice to see Rue as a motherly figure ever so often. I very muchly like the song and will have to check out the musical.

  • Well done! I was in Into the Woods a few years back- I played the evil stepmother (which is weird, cuz my sister, who's 4 years older, played Cinderella). I have to say it was the most fun I've ever had in theatre!

Oh, and your video was awesome too! 5 stars! You wouldn't think these two go together, but they do!

Into the woods and out of the woods... and happy ever after!
