The MI-28 'Havoc' is a Russian all-weather day-night military tandem two-seat anti-armour attack helicopter. It is a dedicated attack helicopter with no intended secondary transport capability, better optimized than the Mil Mi-24 for the anti-tank role.

It is powered by 2x Klimov TV3-117VM turboshafts giveing the Mi-28 a top speed of around 187Mph.
A chin-mounted 30 mm Shipunov 2A42 cannon provides the Mi-28 with duel feed destructive capabilities, both armor piercing and He-Frag ammunition can be selected based on the target in question.

Russia currently operates between 50-65of these with a total of 400~ by late 2013 to early 2014

    apache longbow =1960 ps

  • @packr72

Man, the upgrades of the Block 3 in compare to Block 2 includes the new General Electric T-700-GE-701D turbines, a reinforced transmission, 15cm longer rotor blades out of composite material and a improved version of the radar ...

  • @couteau86 yeah it's 2012 the choppers have already here and older apache's and longbows and being upgraded with many block 3 components, it's not a prototype, and their is no comparison to the mi28, since the apache 3 blow its outta the water, more armor, more manuervable, better radar gun sights, better all weather and night fighting abilities more ammo for the 30 mm cannon than the havoc, more countermeasures, a better chopper all around

  • @packr72

Oh wow, some prototype ... where is the series helicopters??? Where are the fieldcompare to the Mi-28???

  • @couteau86 yes the block 3 began delivieres in late 2011

  • @packr72

And this you knows although the Block 3 is not in service and although the Block 3 Ah-64 new (how it shall???) was compared 1 to 1 against a Mi-28???

  • @019Srb jealous much, sorry look it up the block 3 apache out performed the mi28 havoc, look it up if you dont believe me, really i dont give 2 shits if india buys apaches, all that matters is that the usa uses the best attack heicopter

  • @packr72 No awey u are a wrong, the Indians, they will buy Havoc its 1000% approved!!!!!!! They buy also T90MS,SU-T50 with cooperation Indian version will be PAK-FGA,MIG35 and MIG29SMT(upgrated program for Indian navy), BMPT Terminator, and Pantcir S-1 with S-400 u will see, go and chek in to Indian Military channel !!!!!!!!

  • @packr72

Öhm, sorry, but just because some country by some machines means not they buy the best at last. In 2001 India made a compare for ther new MBT. They test the Leopard 2 A6, Leopard 2 A4, M1A2, Challenger 2 and T-90S. The Leopard 2 A6 won this compare. But India buy the T-90S by the reason, that Russia made the far cheaper offer as Germany, USA and UK ...

  • @019Srb the ka 50 is garbage, it was a chopper designed for the cold war and unlike the apache it wasn't veristile enough to be used in other capacities, and no the indians proved that the apache is far superior to the havoc, that's why their buying the block 3 variant
