The group didn't exactly disband the idea of ever doing something together again (besides documentaries of course). They just don't seem to agree a lot the last 20years or so.

They almost did it... But Palin said no afterwards.
Of course Cleese declined the idea of doing a movie, when Palin was in favor of it...
In short, the Pythons will just never ever agree or anything ever again.
