What is The Atheist Experience?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas, geared at an atheist and non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin (ACA), a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

  • What if God smoked cannabis?

  • @Miguelc271086 As much as I would like to believe we are no longer savages manipulated by money and those who have money the truth is quite the opposite. Human morals have not improved much in the last 3000 years. All we need is a spark to set this world on fire in the name of god, money or hatred.

  • @yarpen800 So you think we haven't made any progress?

I'm just saying... Slavery... It was just an example. We can go further back to the inquisition, or human sacrifice in other religions. I do think that our morals change. While slavery is not over yet. I'm thankful for being born in this era.

  • @Miguelc271086 Do the morals really change? Do you buy chinese products? Why do you think they are so cheap? If you do buy cheap chinese products and it's hard not to then you promote slavery. Stop fooling yourself and patting yourself on the shoulder about how civilized and humane we became.

  • @Miguelc271086 Most people would agree that in moral experience we do apprehend objective values and dutues. Actions like rape, torture and child abuse are just socially unacceptable behavior, they are moral abominations. Slavery was wrong 200 years ago and was known to be wrong but greed prevailed. At least 200 years ago a slave was worth way more in relative cost than today. Today human worth is almost nothing in the world slavery market. So much for education ..those are the facts. Very sad.

  • NephilimFree! Awesome...

  • The king of England didn't translate anything, what a dumb thing to bring up. I respect Matt at least for his logical handling of situations. I think he's wrong, but hey.

  • King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)

Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

  • 0:56 what did he say? :S
