Is this really Danny Kirwan's YouTube 'page', or whatever you'd call it...? Am I being stupid? (Sorry ...) I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Peter Green ... and I've only recently 'discovered' him - having seen the recent television documentary... I am well and truly 'hooked' ... I've only listened to the other live version of this, when he's kind of 'put on the spot' when Danny breaks a string .. Awww... He sends shivers up my spine - and he's very 'easy on the eye' .. Gorgeous, in fact!

This is song is so RAW. Such a powerful and soulful piece of music. Peter Green is a true inspiration to me as a musician. He puts so much passion and soul into his music. This song reminds me that the world will keep on turning the exact same way without me, long after I'm gone.

Maybe Tom Petty? mid nineties? It wasnt bluesy like this. But Petty had a some huge years in the nineties. He also does a good cover of "Oh Well" live.

If I shut my eyes, I can imagine Peter Green sitting on a street corner, in his dirty work dungarees, in some God forsaken town in The Deep South playing this song on a cheap guitar for loose change. It has such an authentic blues 'slap' too it.
Of course, as any 50-something will tell you, growing up in postwar Britain was a truly miserable experience and enough to give anyone the the blues. Maybe that's why we managed to produce Greeny, Beck, Clapton & co.
