Billy the Ninja, after 10 years training with Gordon the Ninja, sets off for the big city.

This is one of many 'ninja' movies from 1985-87,where the distributors would take a pre-existing Hong Kong movie and film an extra 20 minutes of unrelated footage in order to pass it off as a ninja movie.

This is the pure ninja version, 100%!
Well, almost 100%...
I left in the first and last scenes from the original movie for narrative purposes. That story has nothing to do with ninjas, or even martal arts; being instead a low-budget thriller about small-time gangsters.

I read in Empire Magazine that Richard Harrison blamed Joseph Lai or Godfrey Ho for his lacking career in acting. Just a few years after he made those 'ninja movies', Richard Harrsion retired from acting! lol
