@norealnamethanks This is my second KLR (the first got wiped out by a van). On the first one I had a set of TKC 80's. They were a great tyre for off road and they were alright in the dry on the road but in the wet they didn't fill me with a lot of confidence. To find that happy balance isn't easy. As soon as these wear out a bit they will go thats for sure.
I have to agree, I think for the money you can't beat a KLR
i have same bike and anytime it touchs water or mud it slips and slids like yours...I have the same stock tires. They are dangerous and useless on any trail that has a drop of water...it's funny. But it is the coolest bike in the world to have for dry dirt roads and street and such...it's responsive and comfortable
@GUNBUNNY2BG4U certainly is. Just a bit wet at the moment (had heaps of rain this winter) and with stock tyres on the old girl it made for an interesting ride.
