Choosing the Right?

Why? Why am I gay? Why are any of us Gay? Is it our lot in life to be like the blind man healed by Christ who was there to teach others that it is not the sins of the parents that cause disabilities but rather he was there to teach them a lesson? Are we Gays here to teach tolerance to others? or to help with abandoned children? or some other great purpose? Or are we just a hiccup, were we created because God blinked? or, like some of our harshest critics say, do we choose this?

I hope that you meet a nice guy. They don't mean "your choice to be gay" - They mean "your choice to tell us". Heterosexuality is like an empire of sexuality. They are the dominant sexuality - and even if you are gay, then they want a kind of tribute - They want you to pay homage to hetero-dominance by being silent or conforming. And omfg the half-accepting people annoy me too. It's like "lukewarm acceptance is more bewildering than outright rejection" (-Martin Luther King, Jr). I freaking hate it when relatives and friends that behave that way. Plus, why would anyone choose to be hated on, conditinally loved, discriminated/judged/harassed/­bullied, etc?! Then, how would someone choose that? Straight people don't choose to be straight, no one chooses when they feel physical and emotional stimuli!?!

My answer is we're born gay. There's a sexuality gene and you get one version of it just like blue eyes vs brown eyes (gay vs straight) . We come from the straight people, you can carry a gene for something and not have any traces of it in your appearance. None of the other ignorant ideas you hear are accurate. Whether you want to believe a god assigned you parents/ gave you those genes in a premortal life...or not that's up to you.

It's a tough life you have chosen and I feel for your struggles. For me it's a little more cut and dry. I believe in modern day revelation and the divine calling of the prophets and leaders of the church. There is no agenda for them to demonize the act of homosexuality other than to reveal the will of God. I personally can't say whether one is born with these tendencies or not but I do know we were given the power of choice and it's your choice to make and no one else. GL in you struggles.
