LONGER VERSION. Shortcut to high-quality play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETZQx6boY2M&fmt=22

On January 6, 2010, Sea Shepherd's fast-intercept catamaran the Ady Gil was rammed by the Japanese whaling fleet's security vessel, the Shonan Maro No 2. The front 8 feet or so of the Ady Gil was sheared off, and one crew member suffered broken ribs. All crew were rescued by the M/V Bob Barker.

This video shows the collision from two angles and was put together from videos released by both Sea Shepherd and the ICR. (videos synchronized by Eric Cheng, head photographer for the 2008-2009 anti-whaling campaign)

  • If the SMs intent was to come over and ram them, why would they bother with the LRAD and hosedown, and why would they avoid t-boning the AG by turning to port when they saw the AG power into their space? The assumption that the Maru intended to ram them falls to pieces when you look at the evidence in these two videos. I think the SM went to harass the AG, and Jason the helmsman panicked and tried to get away, but only caused a collision that never would have happened without that move

  • @JRBeaman As a matter of fact, you can clearly see the harpoon ship turn onto the Ady Gil if you look at the right screen!

  • @JRBeanman There was a malfunction with the Ady Gil's engen, if you watch closly, you'll notice that the tinny ship isn't moving.

Also, it's pritty obviouse this ship, and this ship alone has become extreamly aggressive when it comes to Sea Sheperd's smaller baots considering that they started chaseing there small boat named the Delta, then attempeted to catch up to the Delta when it ran out of fule.

  • @zibbledy

Thank you for the self introduction about you.

  • @zibbledy

Do not talk to the mirror.

    OK?

  • @ciudice rubbish. You can see the degree of each vessels' motion by the movement of the water. The Bob Barker is not moving fast enough for any appreciable parallax in the surface of the waves.

  • I made new version.

    watch?v=ZVum6U1OdsY

  • @ciudice no if that were true you would see the andy gil from a different angle also but you don't.

  • You are a liar.

Ady Gil's engine is full power.
