Yeah seems every time I've ridden up here in the past 2 weeks there is backburning going on.

I was on this fire. The hazard reduction was performed on Saturday 19/09/09, and burnt the wooded area that you can see on the other side of the Putty Road from where this is filmed.
This video would have been recorded on the Sunday. All of the smoke was a result of a fire that escaped from an unauthorised hazard reduction that was started by a local resident. The fire came over that ridge that you can see behind the smoke.

Hi, thanks for commenting. Yes I filmed this on Sunday, 20/09/09. I could see some smoke on the ridge, not so clear in the video though.
