@katiekawaii Agreed. Even David Chang, the hottest chef in New York right now, stated he wishes New York had as much ethnic diversity of cuisine as LA.
Los Angeles holds many of the largest asian populations outside of their own native countries. You won't just find "Chinese" food like in so many other cities in the country. You'll find Szechuan, Manchurian, Taiwanese, Catonese. You won't find "Mexican", you'll find Oaxacan, Bajaian, Aztecian, Chijuajuan, etc.
@rowr111 People talk crap about it, but hundreds of them from other states move here everyday, and those of us born and raised here never seem to leave. That says more than enough about L.A.
You know, I think those people get confused. They seem to think L.A. begins and ends on the Universal lot. L.A. is *massive*. I've lived here my whole life and haven't seen the half of it. Venice, Downtown, Malibu, East L.A., Santa Monica, Hollywood...a tiny fraction, each its own culture. I <3 L.A.
I'm super inspired by Los Angeles too - people talk crap about this city but the variety of food here is amazing. I love it! I hope I can make it to the next Ludo Bites event!
