At the time he was very anti Bush so he could have just been jumping on anything that could make Bush look bad.

Ask yourself this; We've all seen the video of planes hitting the towers numerous times, why haven't we seen a video of one hitting the pentagon?? Answer: b/c one didn't. Howard was dead serious on this track..

People who think howard stern is somehow a government shill because he said this and now distances himself from it are LOL. You don't understand the guy's personality. He is an egomaniac, with contrarian things like 9/11 truth, he likes to be in on the ground floor so that he can tell everyone how smart he was (this was in 2004 when 9/11 truth first popped up) for knowing it. When he realized that there wasn't really anything to it, and the movement was dying, he backed off, pretty simple.
