No, it wasn't. These are original pieces composed as "song poems." Part of this guy's amazingness is how authentic they sound, simply because he's so optimistic about whatever is happening, it would seem.

Brian Dewan is amazing, but I think this was an actual Nixon campaign song. Amazon sells a cd with this song on it that came out in 1996. (I guess Brian still could've written it...)
