Last Game At The Gardens - Intro/Pre Game

Dont worry folks ill be back with more NASCAR clips very soon but i found this tape the other day and decided to bring it to you all.

This was a very historic night as it was the last NHL game played at the Maple Leaf Gardens before the Toronto Maple Leafs and just about every other event in Toronto moved to the Air Canada Centre.

Maple Leaf Gardens stayed open for about another year and a half before closing for good and it now sits locked up and empty.

Im not showing the whole games but iam showing several clips as well as the closing cerimonies

February 13th 1999.
For you NASCAR fans this game took place the night before the 1999 Daytona 500 lol.

I walked by Maple Leaf Gardens tonight on the way to the Phoenix Concert Theatre. It's sad to see it so delapidated now, but I'm not even a Leafs fan and I had a moment of hockey nostalgia.

What a pleasure to hear announcer Paul Morris, in my opinion, the best P.A. announcer and the purest set of pipes the NHL has ever had.
