Martin was and IS widely known as the King of Bluegrass....Monroe- the Father of it. Jimmy was the original outlaw, he sang with abandon. Monroe may have invented the style, but Jimmy owned it....and made it seem like he was having fun!

Jimmy Martin was a great and important bluegrass musician but to call him the "King of Bluegrass" was about as silly as calling Paul Whiteman the "King of Jazz".

@jamimartin84 what are you trying to say--that jimmy was a magician in addition to being a bluegrass legend? are you also trying to say that you are jimmy's grandson--but you are not sure if your dad's name was jimmy or timmy? or did you not get left any money in the will? write back and use the hillbilly/english guide. i am not quite sure what you are saying
