Oil demand is stable prices are stable Obama is ruining the Country by spending off our childrens future. That is cruel and irresponsible, this economic crisis would be over if we just let the "to big to fail" companies go bankrupt. This retoric is foolish and naive, this is not American Idol! You could argue for any number of solutions other than what Obama has proposed (which i am NOT defending) but to claim that simply letting these companies implode would actually END the financial crisis is nonsense.

You could argue that it would be the best of many BAD options. Better than than any of the bailout plans... possibly.

but it WOULD NOT fix this crisis.

Why is 0bama using my tax dollar to buy GM? If I wanted in on GM I would have bought stock. What does 0bama know about running a car company? He just fired the CEO of GM and is calling the shots. We have electric cars now that would work well for basic commuting for most people. You can also modify a diesel engine to run on vegetable oil right now.

If you count on drilling, it's going to be 10 years according to dept. of energy before you get anything out. Plus the oil companies have millions of acres they could be using now to drill. They're trying to distract you from the fact they're ripping you off.
