Self-interest is unpatriotic. Lieberman is acting as a shill for the big insurance industry. What the insurance companies do not understand is that a healthy public option is actually GOOD BUSINESS for them! Lieberman and the people who bribe him are really mixed up. Very sad. His election will particularly be something I'll be looking forward to in 2012. He is too liberal for Republicans, too conservative for Democrats. Independents also don't have a very high opinion of him. Officially no real party supports this man.

Why do you spout such nonsense.

We get at most 10s of thousands coming here yearly from developing nations to get care, and a few thousand from wealthy in other countries, or people whos "public care" funds them to come here for specialised treatments.

But we have over 1mil people yearly from the US go to other countries for all kinds of serious to trivial treatments.

Even ignoring how many of us cant even get care in our own country, we even such compared to othe countries in many HC stats

Lieberman stands no chance of re-election even as a Republican. He received more than $1 million in KNOWN campaign contributions from the insurance industry, and was always their tool. They finally decided they needed him to openly stop the public option even if it meant he would no longer be in the senate after 2012. But not to worry - they will also pay him off with a nice cushy job as an overpaid and underworked insurance lobbyist once it's all over in 2012.
