Jam or Split by Stefan Mildenberger

An endless loop of paper runs through seven inkjet printers but is not printed. Deprived of their actual function the printers carry the paper at different rates.
Lest not one of the disasters happen as announced in its title the circuit has been equipped with
a photoelectric sensor that switches off individual printers for a short time. The installation resembles an assembly line, as it is portrayed in movies like „Metropolis" and „Modern Times". But here the workers are missing - the actual industrial production does not occur. Instead it has become a real challenge to keep the process going. The fragile system of home printers does not print images
or texts it has even become the object itself.
