  • Arundhati Roy is a very special lady.A lady with beauty and the brain.

  • In America, on the anniversary of 9/11, she tells them, 'Welcome to the world'. Respect.

  • I agree with almost everything. Except the bit about suicide bombings being acts of 'individual despair'... and the following paragraph. Aren't they're systematic, coordinated, terrorist team-led acts of violence... ?

  • ARUNDHATI ROY still inspires me... always.

  • I LOOOOOOVE the bite in her sarcasm...

  • It's a great speech, but one part I disagree with is her conflation of a so-called "free market" with a hidden fist. By definition, a market is not free if violence or threat of violence is what makes it operate. A free market is one in which all participants are allowed to trade voluntarily, without coercion or nationalistic hegemony.

  • wow! i got goosebumps..

  • She really inspires me. She knows her stuff so well and she is so free from artificiality!
