ive lived in high rise flats for nearly 15 years, some are nasty places, but some are really nice, its not the buildings, its the people that the council put in them that make them awfull places to live sometimes. My block is 95% working couples, the others are pensioners and a few 17 yr old clueless kids who trash the place, luckily, they don't last long. Check out Trellick Tower on the web, it was a nasty place to live once upon a time, now its hard to get a flat there.....
