January 15th 2012, Verizon Wireless will charge customers $2.00 "Convenience Fee" if you want to pay your bill over the phone or online using a credit/debit card. Verizon will waive this fee if you give them access to your bank account via Electronic Check, or enroll in AutoPay. Is this a Materially Adverse Change to the contract you signed for service?

  • This made me so damned livid.

    1. Dropped my plan to a less expensive plan

    2. bought my own equipment, to avoid data plan, and have no contract

    3. scaled down on all plan extra add-ons

    4. considering another company

sprint is dead to me because they would not drop unfair overages , I actually just left sprint and brought my # over to verizon and now they attempt such a scam, I hate them both and dont care if they recanted, they will fight to make it up some other way, take steps above

  • @UTheGoalisSoul2 I have Sprint and T-Mobile and of those, Sprint is probably the most generous. Sure they have Account Spending Limits (I havent had one for 3 years), sure they raised their ETF up from $200 to $350, sure they also killed their Premier program, and yes, they have slow data. But unlike T-Mobile who killed off no-contract plan extentions and MyFaves, I was offered these features by Sprint to compete, It kept me.

  • Verizon has since changed its stance on the $2.00 fee however it was don't done at behest of customers but rather the FCC investigation.
