The opening event in the 2011 Wiggle Super Series is fantastic way to start your year in the saddle. This classic South Downs Mountain Bike route starts from Storrington in the heart of the South Downs.
The route has a number of leg warming hills and exciting descents on the Downs based between Amberley, Arundel & Stenying. This all year around route, follows some awesome bridleways and the classic South Downs way itself. With 2 ride lengths of 36 miles and 27 miles, you can choose how much fun you can handle... So start your 2011 season on a high and 'get out and ride.'
The event includes all the sophistication you would expect, including: Showers / Toilets, electronic timing, well stocked feed stations, tarmac parking, over £10 of free energy products, event photography, mechanical support, bike wash facilities and most importantly an enjoyable and extremely well marked course!
Fantastic video, but in future I'll stick to the (notoriously muddy) OS Mountain Mayhem for a relatively mud free ride!
It would have been a great ride with fantastic views in the dry however!

great video, great event, i was first home on the short course and was thinking how churned up the course would get with more riders, the video now proves it. I still got completely covered in mud though and now idea how i made it down that last descent without ending up in a tree...brilliant track! see you next year

This was a great ride. I had a ball despite it being really tough, muddy, slippery, foggy, rainy......plus a massive puncture halfway up the steepest, slipperiest bit of it.
What the hell. It was awesome! Great challenge!
