I went to see this originally because i'd read a magazine article about the special effects in this chase and a couple other scenes (the Mercedes jump, particularly).

@GoblinGirl As an ardent Eastwood fan, I would agree that The Rookie isn't one of his best films, but not bad, either. It seems like it was too long and complicated, for some reason. And Charlie Sheen's poor acting didn't help.
