I sure miss the days of respectable programming when the majority of entertainment supported " Truth, Justice & The American Way".

Thanks for bringing back the memories of more innocent days and the people who helped to keep them that way.

@streetrace442 It was also done during the 1950's run of Dragnet net and the standard answer the desk officers would give to the callers is 'Sorry, it's Joe's day off.'

I wonder what Jack would think about the world today?
In many ways he was right about hippies and drugs and the anti establishment people. My aunt use to date bobby troupe in the 40s back in lancaster, Pa.
Jack was born the same year as my dad. My dad served in the marines during WW2, south pacific. He always said that the movie D.I. was a good flick..He should know. R.I.P. Mr. Webb

@paramedicEmergency51 Yes, it was taken on the Universal lot during the finale of Dragnet 1966...The rain was thanks to a big water tank and some sprayers.

Was it raining at 2:16
His family must be so proud. I grew up hearing his voice and watching his shows. His radio work is my favorite. I'm so sorry you lost Stacy, too. Thank you for sharing this incredible video.

@SIGNALSTAT
Yes, according to our paperwork this picture was taken on March 17th of 1966 on the Universal back lot...The rain was courtesy of a large water tank and rain towers.
