At the April 07, 2011 U.S. Embassy event "Conversation with U.S. Medical Experts on Radiation and Health" at Tokyo American Club, Dr. Steve Simon of the National Cancer Institute discussed radiation and health issues.
Horrible presentation. Talks for 10 minutes and basically says nothing. Starts with idiotic questions such as "what is a risk? is skydiving a risk?" Suggests that there were only 750 after the fact radiation linked deaths in HIroshima and Nagasaki. Then concludes that radiation risk in Tokyo is "indistinguisable" [sic] from zero. Idiot.

It's all just gamma rays and alpha/beta particles, whether it's manmade or natural.

Why was there no Q and A? Is exposure to manmade radiation more dangerous than the natural radiation?
