I heard Phoenix's version last year and thought it was ok, however I'm a fan of Birdy's soft style of music and I love this!

@xlauraxgrajales i didn't say she had no idea because she was a teenager. i said she PROBABLY has no idea because the original artists are a lot older than her and probably went through a lot more than she has. i think she has a good voice but i'd like to see her write her own songs.

@nkennyish But she is writing her own music? She's using their lyrics, yes, but she's changed the music to suit /her/ style. That's what covers are for. Not only that, but she's a young teenager. Give her some slack, honestly. And she /has/ written an original song called Without a Word which was also featured in TVD. She's famous, because she's good. She's taken good music and made it better. And I can /guarantee/ you that she bought the rights to use the lyrics.
