Tie a bowline variation in 5 seconds. By bowline I mean a knot that will not slip when tension is applied, and it unties easily.

  • we don't want a show-off. we want to learn

  • @TimCampbellPhD Showoff?! I put this up years ago and it was my first youtube vid. I just learned it from my instructor and wanted to put it up on the internet. If you watch it enough you can learn it I have been told, but if you can't then oh well.

  • would you really trust that??

  • @dice502 With my life.... NO. With a non vital piece of equipment... yea. I've used it and it holds very well. But as I said if you need a knot for lifesaving or anything that you are going to have a person involved then you mustn't use anything else but a regular Bowline.

  • Very cool, but can you tie it like that in a force 10 gale?

  • In a force 10 I would probably have to be tying a one handed bowline because I would be in the water. An no I probably could not do that one in that weather.
