@need2speed94 Just a weekend type car, since it has no AC, heat, radio, etc. But building something that'd be grossly inefficient with it would just bother me. That's another project for another car, like an old first gen Camaro if I ever pick one up.
Sold the stock 700R4 for $200, still have the 4 bolt block sitting in the garage. I'll have to figure out something to do with it eventually, or just sell the block.
@kcole939 Ahh. Nice man, T56's are pretty tough tranny's man. When I first picked up my Z28 I was surprised how good of a tranny it was for a budget sports car. If you already have a SB 350 and an auto I'd definitely go for a nasty strip setup, but that's just me. Since you mentioned gas mileage I'm guessing it's mostly going to be a street car/daily driver, so maybe the LS1/T56 would be better for that.
@need2speed94 That's becoming the plan, when I get around to it anyway. Already running a 26 spline T56 in my '01 GT, Centerforce DFX, Fidanza flywheel, 03-04 Cobra aluminum driveshaft, Steeda tri ax shifter, etc. Good transmission.
Originally wanted to do a turbo SBC/auto since I already had the 700R4 core and a 4 bolt 350 block, but it would just be overly heavy up front, making it not much fun to drive anywhere but in a straight line. Plus I'd also like it to be decently fuel efficient.
