kragthorpe needs to leave L-ville right away plain and simple, he can't recruit, ALL he can do is coach Qb's supposedly, and he couldn't do anything with hunter cantwell's rocket arm last year? what a joke, i saw him throw deep downfield like 7 times...
I think your really wrong about Brian Kelly. My older brother is a cinncinati recruit and when I met him he seemed like he didnt know how to coach a football team. And the only reason they did well is because that was the michigan state coaching staff recruiting class. That man is as good as a high school coach.
Yes, Brian and staff were using mostly the old coach's players. But I have some news for you. If he weren't a valid college coach, he wouldn't have led the Bearcats to back-to-back double-digit win seasons. And, actually, some of the Big East teams they beat were better than they were. Winning 11 games in 2008 was quite an accomplishment, considering that they went through multiple QBs. And Brian is recruiting players ranked even higher than the old coach.
The class that is coming in for 2010 might be the best in the Big East. Now, I will admit that his coaching will be put more to the test in 2009 than in the first two seasons. Cincinnati lost 11 of 12 defensive starters. In addition, his system will be more in-place in 2009, and a lot of the team will be composed of his players. I say that, if Cincinnati can win at least 9 games, that would be an accomplishment.
Bobby Petrino fucked us. that idiot left a hot and hard to beat L-Ville team that just won a bcs game and was one win away from the national championship to go to the NFL for half a season and leave and go to a washed up arkansas team if he would have stayed i bet we would have went to more bcs games. watch the video "BAD DAY BOBBY PETRINO" it says what im thinking
Well, I have some GOOD news for Mountaineers fans and BAD news for non-Mountaineers fans. Forget about his six-year deal. WVU Football standards are high, and, going into next season, he will feel pressure. If it looks like things are continuing to go downhill, he won't last more than one or two more seasons.
Pitt-Going into 2008, it was bowl-or-bust for Wanny. But, since Pitt will be going bowling, he is safe. With his recruiting, expect Pitt to win a lot of games in the upcoming seasons.
Rutgers-Greg Schiano is doing a fine job with coaching and recruiting. Hopefully, he will stay at Rutgers forever. If he does, Rutgers is going to do very well, and it will be great for the Big East.
South Florida-As long as Jim Leavitt is at USF, the Bulls will be winners and go to bowl games. And, now that he is recruiting better, things could get even better.
Syracuse-Hopefully, Syracuse's next coach can make Syracuse a winner again.
West Virginia-For people who think that Bill Stewart will be around for a long time and take the program way downhill, don't worry. I say that, if things keep going downhill, he won't last after, or even through, 2009.
