  • In the original opera LES INDES GALANTES

this music describes dances of savages of wild forest from Brazil !!!

Anyway magnificent music and movie scene.

  • @abelbeau99 That is exactly what I said in the discription, right? :)

I have seen Les Indes Galantes before here in the netherlands, it is really one of the best operas by Rameau, although I prefer Castor and Pollux.

  • @otacs2

I wanted to underline the funny difference : in the opera the music introduces savages indians while in the movie the heirs to the throne !

Anyway Rameau is GREAT may be understimated out of France.

many thanks for all music you present.

  • @abelbeau99 Haha, I didn't catch the irony, very sharp of you!

  • film orrendo

  • @royaltypr1 Perché? Il film fa Marie Antoinette popolare! Molto importante.

  • A few years back I couldn't understand that the people are watching because of the high aesthetical and artistic beauty in good dancers. This was appreciated in the court, and taught to the nobles from childhood.

  • @otacs2 non mi piacciono i costumi e lei non ha la grazia dovuta,e poi tratta solo una parte della sua vita, per non citare riferimenti all'epoca moderna come le scarpe da ginnastica terrificante

  • @LutzDerLurch You're right indeed...baroque dance was very difficult, and only few people were able to dance (Marie Antoinette was considered very talented :D)!

  • I think Dust and Jason held too hard not to laugh.

    So did the audiance,

but Madame Du barry did smile
