@TeramKontru YOU FORGET we have our own currency,we refused to sign the latest EU treaty,unlike you lot...you are a colony of brussels......lol
-
@eunoway Agreed,I have the utmost respect for the Brits,they would have put up a great fight if Sealion would have been launched.However,I believe a concentrated all out effort by Hitler would have overwhelmed coastal defences and as you correctly point out-USA would lost GB as a staging site for later asault on Europe
-
@jagerschweigen i think if sealion had gone ahead,germany would have defeated us and won the war !! only because from 1942 britain became a launch pad for the americans,not invading britain probaly hitlers worst mistake,but i know if invaded the brits would have put up a better fight then the rest of europe

@JohnQuincyAdams1 Listen fella, i did not say that the holocaust was at all acceptable, in fact it is sickening, what happened to the jewish people, i like seinfeld, i like queen and i like muhammad ali, i am glad it ended with allies winning, i am simply saying that the ss were very good/the best at their job in battle, not in the camps, soldier v soldier not soldier v defencless women and children, how do you think ww2 lasted so long, cos they liked to talk tough and eat burgers.

Great power of German state, Canada, USA, GB, France, USSR, Australia, all they against one brave country, and they almost fail. Glory to Germany and Europe, death to american colonies France and Britain!

@JohnQuincyAdams1 Of course you are correct if one compares the HE111 to later USA aircraft.Again,by 1940 Luftwaffe standards it was a heavy bomber.I cannot imagine the channel packed with large warships as you suggest, Donitz U-Boats would have had easy targets.The Royal Navy would not have risked that.Your comment about Dunkirk is not valid.Historians call Dunkirk one of Hitler's major mistakes.H. Guderian (19th panzer corps) certainly agreed with that.Read 'Lost Victories' by E.VonManstien

@jagerschweigen - Park an He-111 next to heavy bombers such as a B-17, or a B-24, or a B-29 and tell us that an He-11 is a heavy bomber. :) Hitler halted the advance on Dunkirk not because of any love for England, but because his panzer divisions were outrunning their supporting infantry and thus were in danger of being counter-attacked and destroyed. The English Channel was guarded by the worlds most powerful navy at that time, the British Royal Navy. No way was Germany getting through them.

@rw5791 - Kid, Obama isn't a negro. Grow up.
@603mac Well you forgot that Germany could not send all fighters and bombers to attack Britain, many of the fighters where needed to protect the city's, the rest was already needed to secure the border to Russia and stay ready for the invasion on east Europe! After WW1 Germany had to pay much and could not make many military equipment and still we manged to conquer so many country's, but for what? Hitler was out of his mind no doubt but the German soldiers where the best ever!!

@603mac R.A.F. veterans have openly admitted that the only thing that saved them was the radar stations.Also,keep in mind that the ME-109 could only stay over Britian for about 20 min. or so due to fuel restrictions-a severe handicap as heavy german bombers were alone for the return leg.Lucky for the Brits Hitler lost interest in 'Sea Lion'' and turned to the East
