Visit my site: www.pdjoneshorseranch.com This is the bit I use after they come out of my ring snaffle & nose piece. It's the way I've done it for years & just wouldn't change a thing. Blued steel shanks & sweet iron mouth. If I could only have one bit this would be it. My mail is pdjoneshorseranch@yahoo.com..Cell 402-621-0553...P D Jones, 300 5th st, Nora, NE 68961

  • gota bitting question for ya. i gota horse that you cant take holt on at all, he wasnt like that, he usually breaks your hand just tryin to hold him. hes a standardbred, which is in my videos (cowboy jack) once u get him set at a gait he dont go faster he bucks when u ask him to go,

  • @MajiksGurl224 I really know nothing about those horses but if one want's to pitch when I ask them to move out I give um a good swat on the but to make them stride out...

  • @pdj47 they are very sweet animals, i can tale his mouth has been bothering him, so i got his teeth floated, usually they are really hard on the bit, and high strung, bit he has never offered to do any of what he is doin now. what kind of bit would u suggest for a soft mouth?

  • @MajiksGurl224 I think you ride those horses with some constant contact so this bit would be out but a ring snaffle with my nose piece & a running martingale would be what I would try..

  • @pdj47 okay ill try, what does the martingale do? ive never used one

  • @MajiksGurl224 Look at my starting colt video's, it is what I run the reins through to give a head set...

  • No offense but it looks a lot like a goostree simplicity bit.

  • LOL if hobble breaking was so mean he probably wouldn't like me much! Check him out in my getting colts ready to halter break video & see how far he come. Hey check out the rest of my videos, I think you will see horses that are gentle & have good sense, isn't that what horsemen are looking for?

  • I like this video a lot more than the hobble breaking. :)

Your horse is gorgeous as well, and seems to be very well trained with that. :D

There is a few horses at my stable who could use that. XD

I also love how when you walk forward, your horse walks forward as well. :) Took me forever to train my horse how to do that. :)

    I give you credit.

  • These work great for me.
