@ethicomm Yea, trams have always been a more attractive mode of public transport, for centuries. Having buses on the city streets is plain boring!

It's amazing how street cars like this are a given in many parts of Europe and even in North America. People seem to demand it here in the Vancouver area but in the end we get a monolithic edifice like Skytrain. I'd give anything to see streetcars as a regular part of our transportation system.
