  • How much did it cost in total?

  • @sky9878 @sky9878 The short answer? IIRC, just under $1000 including E450 Top Case, E21 Side Cases, side racks and top rack with locks. I also had a set of E360 side cases for the long haul which raised the total price of my configuration. To best answer that question, I'd refer you to twistedthrottle which is a stocking dealer of all the parts necessary.

I have since moved on to a bigger Sport / Tour machine, a Yamaha FJR1300, to better handle 2 up long distance touring.

  • do you have to relocate the signal lights to use the side racks and bags?

  • They do not have to be relocated though they do tuck in behind the rack/box just a bit limiting side visibility just a bit.

A bracket and extension wires are included to relocate them to the license plate level where they can be better seen from all angles. The bracket creates the third hardpoint for mounting and connecting each side for rigidity. I didn't relocate but did use the bracket as a helmet lock point to hang 2 helmets with padlocks since the OEM lock point is rendered unusable.

  • Good Vid. I have the SW Motech brackets & givi E21n's. They actually look good on my '01 SV650s. Used daily. Great addition to my bike. 10x better than soft bags.

  • Thanks!

The E21's are my daily riders. I also run the E360's for longer trips on the road.

  • i took the fender off my SV... can I still use this sw motech racking system?

  • i'm thinking about buying a SW Motech Quicklock rack for my '03 SV.. could you make a vid of all the mounting points to the bike? If i'm correct, there is a replacement pillion grab bar and a mounting bar which goes 'through' the rear mudguard.

But I can't find decent pictures of how the rack is mounted near the passenger footpegs..

And can I mount this set withouth the rear mudguard? I have a tailtidy installed on my sv..

  • Thanks for the concise and informative video.

  • Piece of cake! Nice video.
