@Psychology Because they stayed in the car they attack by smell if you are in a building or a car they cant smell you so you become invisible thats why they didnt attack the store even when that Giant Mantis came and snatched up that military guy, it kept walking after it killed him.

@jcdenton100 its from another dimension. The biology is obviously quite different, considering the other assortment of creatures that appear. Its motive could be to eat giant alien plants that are in the other dimension. Giant creatures have existed on Earth before, just look at the scale of the dinosaurs, compared to the humans, they are really enormous.

I look at this beuty and see the legs of the Cloverfield Parasites dangling from the chest and a head that looks shockingly simaler to the Cloverfield monster's head!
