2003 Chevy Silverado SS vs. 2007 Chevy Silverado Z71 Drag Street Racing

Here's a couple of clips from some runs I did with a 2003 Chevy Silverado SS AWD. First run is at Pine Valley Raceway in Lufkin Tx. Then we did a couple of rolls on the way home.
2007 Silverado performance mods: K&N CAI, Flowmaster 40 dual exhaust, Gibson headers, HP custom tune.

9.59 in the 8th is like 14.9 in the quarter. That looks correct for a Silverado SS. Stock it runs 15 to 15.1 in the quarter. Considering it didn't have a whole lot of mods, that looks correct. Looks like a good legit run. I doubt the guy who put this vid up is bullshitting anyone. 10.1 in the 8th is 15.7 or so in the quarter. Why are all the SS guys getting their panties in a bunch? It was a good race. The SS won in the quarter. The guy in the Z71 is a good driver. What else is there to comment?

I know a 6.0 is faster than 5.3 silverado both stock. I have a 04 ss and had a 99 stepside chevy. but why the fight with in us chevy lovers and not the others trying to put gm-chevy down.

i have an 01 stepside single cab with the 5.3 and i love my truck with a few simple mods i can beat many f-150's and rams

@rekjavicxxx theres only like 15 hp differents between the two engines (minus the mods), the 5.3 is awsome I love that motor!
