Episode 18 "Mission Nick & Joe"

A FEW WEEKS LATER
Demi and Miley were walking through the mall, sifting through the racks of random stores. As she was looking for some new ripped jeans, she turned to Miley. "So, how have you...and Nick, been doing?"

Miley was looking down at a shirt she took off a rack and shrugged aimlessly "We're doing okay." She looked up at her best friend and gave her a small smile. Miley put the shirt back and wondered a little more through the store.

Demi giggled softly, knowing she wanted more details and walked over to her. "Just 'okay'?"

Miley nodded and smiled softly. "Yes, we are okay." Miley looked at Demi. Then frowned. "I just wish Joe would try to get along with him..."

"Oh...yeah, Joe can be stubborn. We talked about this other night before we went to sleep, he just still doesn't trust him, and it still kind of hurts him that nick turned out badly since he basically raised him so now he thinks he'll make a terrible father if or when we decide to have a child."

Miley looked at Demi and sighed. "I'm sure he'll be a great father, but Joe has to remember that it's not his fault about the choices Nick has made. We all know no matter how much anyone fights with Nick, He will do whatever he wants" She walked towards the counter and waited for the cashier to scan the shirt.

Demi blew out a huff and walked up behind her. "Well, good luck getting in a fight with him then....well I guess you have been before." She let them scan her jeans and then paid for them and started walking out of the store with her. "You know...this might sounds completely strange coming from me...but, you're kind of the only person I could ever imagine Nick with...I mean you know him better than anyone, even his own brother."

Miley thought about it for a second and laughed lightly. "Do I?"

She nodded her head. "Yeah, you do. I mean, don't you?"

Miley laughed at herself. "I guess I do, I never really thought about it."

She smiled a little and nodded her head. "Yup. So, are you thinking about being a little more steady with him? I mean, like as in be his girlfriend? Or are you two officially dating yet?"

Miley shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not exactly sure what our status is right now..." She looked into a store they passed by, and looked back at Demi. "I'm pretty sure you could classify me as his girlfriend"

She smiled and shrugged. "I'm still trying to decide whether that makes me happy or not...is he really truly different now?"

Miley chuckled softly at her motherly best friend. "Demi, he's changed. He's a lot better now." She hugged Demi and smiled. "Don't worry"

AT DEMI'S HOUSE
Demi set down her purse and jacket and then felt two arms wrap around her from behind and kiss her neck and she giggled softly. "Hello, Joseph." She smiled looked up at Miley and then pushed Joe off a little, clearing her throat, "Um, Miley's here." She grinned.

"Hey Miles." Joe said throwing a nod in her direction.

"Hi" Miley said, making her way into their kitchen.

"How was your day?" Joe asked Demi, kissing her softly.

She smiled at him and shrugged. "Pretty good, Miley and I went shopping so that was fun! But i didn't find much. Just a few shirts and a pair of jean shorts. Sooo...what did you do today? Did any of it involve a call to a certain brother of yours..." She asked, hoping.

Joe shrugged "Nope." He walked towards the kitchen where Miley was and grabbed a drink. "Should it have?" he asked, looking at Miley then at Demi.

Miley sat at their counter and shrugged. "Joe, you and Nick need to settle your differences...just become brothers again"

"Yeah, Joe...I mean, he's your little brother...don't you think you owe it to him?"

Joe crossed his arms, and shook his head. "No..." he walked out of the room, leaving Demi and Miley alone.

"I just wished they'd get along..." Demi softly shut her eyes, hating how defiant Joe was to his brother and shook her head, turning to Miley. "I'll...I'll talk to him later."

Miley sighed, feeling hopeless, then suddenly it struck her. "I have the perfect plan!" She smirked.

Hello. I officially just finished the series and totally loved it. Demi and Miley should arrange a double date and lock the two boys in a closet or something so they could work out their issues, but it would only make it worse. Then Joe would say something really hateful to Demi after she arranged the meeting and Miley the same with Nick. So Demi would Drive Nick home and Joe would drive Miley, but then something bad happens...
