This is the ferry that will take you across the MacKenzie river near Ft. Providence NWT.

  • When is the ice thick enough for a vehicle to drive across it?

  • I'm not sure of the minimum thickness, but when I came down from the ice road last week it was 1.7 meters (6 ft)

  • And now the company that was doing it is in financial troubles,some parts of it have already been placed in bankruptcy,and maybe the whole group will be soon.

  • Ever since seeing Ice Road Truckers, I have wanted to visit the north of Canada, I'm from New Zealand, which is about as far away as you can get from the NWT.
