Did the stimulus work? A new video answers that question by looking at three broad, but important, indicators for the American economy. All three were in bad shape before the stimulus began, and all three turned around at almost exactly the moment the stimulus started. Coincidence?

My position is that "economics is zero-sum", or "economics isn't zero-sum" are equally rather meaningless statements: thus I decline to endorse either statement - even when hounded to do so by a mentally deficient propagandist who's unable to distinguish between "economics" and "the economy".

Note, however, that there are elements of economics which very much involve zero-sum concerns. Examples include positional goods, Pareto optimality, game theory...

How do you explaint his? Where did the extra money come from?

In 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013, SS taxes took in $X. They paid out $X + $Y per year.

Where did $Y come from?

He did say that in fact. He said that if we didn't raise the debt ceiling he would not be able to send out SS checks in time.

You appear to have a real strong disagreement with Obama on Social Security.
