Stunning vista and scenes from saturn's amazing moon "Enceladus". Captured by the Cassini space craft as it orbits saturn.
I colourized many of these images myself, others are purely the amazing press release images from NASA/JPL. I also animated every scene, in both 2d and full 3d CG style.
I have specially created 3d models of Enceladus for this feature, made from 100% real imagery and data.
See the movie for full credit. But, huge thanks to Bradford Ellis for providing the music, his own wonderful creation.
AWESOME! Enceladus is so interesting! It's like a cracked egg. It has small impact craters, but long and deep chasmata and sulci. The sulci at the south pole have huge plumes of water-ice, and other compounds. It could very well have life forms, like monera (bacteria) or protista (protists, like plankton). Its surface is relatively young, probably only in the millions of years. It's being resurfaced, probably from the particles of its E Ring. I wonder if it has liquid caverns, or an ocean below?

Some day I hope we can make a machine that can turn elephant pooh and monkey pooh into a peanut butter and banana sandwich for the hungry people.
