My mother loved her family very much, and her greatest desire was to encourage a loving, harmonious family. This song, "Love at Home," was her favorite song. For her funeral, she had requested all of her seven children join in performing this song together. Some sang and some played musical instruments, and I interpreted into American Sign Language. I am presenting this song again in memoriam of my mother, Lois Dunn. I first saw this song performed in sign language more than 30 years ago by Becky Judd, one of the first Deaf adults I got to know well when I was still a child. While I cannot match the grace and eloquence of Becky's beautiful ASL signs, she was a role model for influencing my approach to this song.

  • Thank you for doing this. You are a kind-hearted man. The sign language you've done here is beautiful. My daughter loves ASL, and I watch your videos with her so we could learn to better adapt songs to sign. Thank you.

  • From the mother of 3 deaf children.....thank you. To "normal" families and hearing people, sign language is beautiful, but to the mother of 3 deaf children, it's acceptance.

  • This song brings tears to my eyes...thank you so much for putting it on here. :) My five yr old son was showing me how he could sign "house" and "love" now. :)
