Karavon been set out in the 16 century as a feast day - the Day of St. Nicholas, it has gradually turned into a massive popular games, which has survived only here in the Russian St. Nicholas Kazan, and, according to local folklore, has more than three hundred historical roots.

Since olden times this holiday was celebrated for three days. Starting with a church service in a rural church, then moved into the houses of the peasants, the family banquet table, and then - on the street, where festivities were held, and dance. Runaround were taken throughout the holiday. It was a special act by which girls and women in formal attire gathered at a designated location. Unusual and movement Karavon: according to ancient tradition, joining the little fingers, all participants are special "Karavon" step dance when it decreases, then increases slowly spinning "by the sun." At this time, often played the wedding, which celebrated, as they say.

  • cool people and outfits! :-)

  • @jdouglasfisher Yea,no crap? All we ever do is waste our money at stupid malls and eat crap food, watch stupid sports and bitch about how corrupt our leaders are as they bend us over with bs? I know that Russia has big problems with corruption too-and that life is probably alot "harder" over there? But they just look like happy and for the most part friendlier people than we are now that the Soviet days are remnants?I've never been there? But would love to go! Maybe I'm just talkin outta my A..?

  • Beautiful young blonde woman with arms raised up like she wants to give you the best hug ever bearing 0 degrees at 0:34...I gotta go to Russia before I die?...I don't have a drop of Russian blood in me-but I feel like "I'm from there"?...I know it sounds crazy-I just feel that way?
